Marilyn enjoys entertaining and is involved with three others in the running of the Mission bookshop. She is responsible for the day to day running of the bookshop, ordering supplies, and seeing the literature gets out to the three countries near here, Angola, DR Congo and Zambia.
When Bruce is flying Marilyn is flight following using Spidertracks on the computer.
In the past a tract work was done, especially on Wednesday evenings at a gospel meeting held in the Old Hospital compound. Hospital staff now carry out this work. She also worked with the elders in a ministry to orphans and widows in this area, handing out blankets. She passed on funds for the re-roofing and building of small homes for believers in areas beyond Kalene.
Bruce and Marilyn oversee the Lusaka Guest house, set up for the use of all assembly commended missionaries. Both Bruce and John Loudon are responsible for the running of the guesthouse, the purchase of all the food and supplies. Marilyn is responsible for all bookings, purchasing linens and general upkeep of the house.
She prepares the Orchard Garden Get a Way in Kalene for guests. The Flight Service workers involved in Community Support Projects are helped by Marilyn with accounting for their project.
Bruce is the main person organizing the egg and broiler production while Marilyn helps to sort and distribute the eggs.
Each Christmas up to 80 large bags are prepared for the Flight Service staff, our two personal workers and families.
