We put up “swarm boxes” 3 to 5 meter high in trees to catch passing swarms of bees. After they occupy them and are settled, we take the swarm boxes down from the tree to the apiary and then transfer them in larger bee hives a meter off the ground where thy produce honey
We helped by flying this sick child down to Chit for further surgery. The family is a Christian family. They gathered together around the plane and prayed before the flight. Sad to say the patient passed away after surgery. The next day Bruce flew the mother and her son back to K
Once a year we go to Lusaka to look after the guest house. This year a number of maintenance jobs were also undertaken. This allows Rodwell and Edina to take a holiday together.

Once a term Sakeji has a birthday party. Marilyn enjoys driving over the day before to help decorate the 15 cakes. A theme is chosen by the school. Usually three of us travel over from Kalene to help out. Here are some of the results.
It was good to get away outside of Lusaka for a few days with John, Krista, Titus and Moria before they flew back to Canada. We had n enjoyable, relaxing time with out our usual responsibilities.
Once the family celebration was over, John and Krista, Titus and Moriah flew up to Kalene June 13th to be with us for six weeks. We enjoyed the baby sitting, meal preparation and just visiting together.
John helped at hospital fixing some equipment for the operating room. Krista helped to sort the nurses bulk store. John was able to help us all, on our computers and phones. Sure will miss their help!
